Supporting biodiverse Montserrat Gardens

IMG_2767 Montserrat Training

Background

Montserrat National Trust provides the island community with locally grown native and exotic species. They are also actively involved in storytelling about the biodiversity of Montserrat. The Montserrat National Trust do Montserrat local production reduces the risk of introducing pests and diseases. Thousands  of plants are sold every year. However the trust has been working with dated infrastructure that is not eligible to upgrade for many funders. The trust are looking for funding to update their nursery facility and provide a small stall to sell the plants to the local community, thus enabling Montserrat to continue to be self-sufficient in its plant production and storytelling.
